The Roaring Fork River and Colorado River are located on the Colorado West Slope where snow capped peaks feed cold, clear water to rivers teaming with trout. This watershed supports a diversity of abundant hatches throughout the year and has the highest concentration of trout per mile in the state of Colorado.
Anglers often fly into the Aspen Airport.
However, driving from Denver International Airport is perhaps a way to save a little.
Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and Newcastle are all within the fishing grounds. Each town has it's own lodging and dining opportunities.
